Brian Barzee

Brian Barzee is a revered figure in the mycological realm, both locally and nationally. He is a distinguished Board Member at Pikes Peak Mycological Society and a recognized Mushroom Identification expert.

As the son of PPMS founder, Lee Barzee, Brian has been immersed in the world of mushrooms since he can remember and there is rarely a fungi that eludes Brian’s discerning eye. His dedication to mycology have enriched the field with invaluable insight, making him an indispensable resource for the Pikes Peak Mycological Society.

Beyond his contributions to mycology, Brian volunteers for Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Center.
